Abstract
The program's strategic objective is to strengthen capacities and build necessary competencies for the timely and effective execution and implementation of the Victims Law at the national, departmental, and municipal levels. During the reporting period from April 1st to June 30th, 2019, VISP made significant progress in each of its five intermediate results. In Intermediate Result 1, VISP concluded technical assistance to the National Planning Department (DNP) regarding the analysis, guidelines, and recommendations for linking the Victims' Assistance, Attention, and Comprehensive Reparation Policy with the State's Social Policy. Additionally, VISP advanced activities for the Victims Law balance and renewal proposal with the DNP and the Victims Unit. VISP also finalized the execution of 11 projects on target municipalities for the prevention of human rights violations. Furthermore, the program supported the Victims Unit National Commemoration of April 9th National Conflict-Victims' Memory and Solidarity Day through activities organized throughout Colombia, including a product fair, a memory exhibit, and cultural acts. In terms of geographic focus, VISP's activities were concentrated in various regions of Colombia, including Nariño, where the program began executing a pilot project to validate the Familia project. This project aims to provide support to victims of forced disappearance. The program's progress was also reflected in the implementation of various projects and initiatives. For example, VISP finalized the execution of projects on target municipalities, which aimed to prevent human rights violations. Additionally, the program supported the Victims Unit National Commemoration of April 9th National Conflict-Victims' Memory and Solidarity Day. In terms of timeframes, the reporting period from April 1st to June 30th, 2019, marked a significant milestone for VISP. During this period, the program made substantial progress in achieving its intermediate results and implementing various projects and initiatives.
