Abstract
The activity aims to improve health outcomes for underserved Filipinos through family planning and maternal and neonatal health innovations and capacity building platforms. The geographic coverage of the activity spans across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, with a total of 32 sites across 15 regions. The activity focuses on improving access to family planning and maternal and neonatal health services, particularly in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas. The project also aims to strengthen the capacity of local health systems and institutions to provide quality health services. The activity is implemented through a range of interventions, including training of health care providers, establishment of family planning and maternal and neonatal health services, and provision of technical assistance to local health systems. The project also focuses on social and behavior change communication to promote the use of family planning and maternal and neonatal health services among the target population. The activity has made significant progress in the first year, with a total of 2,500 health care providers trained in family planning and maternal and neonatal health services. The project has also established 15 family planning and maternal and neonatal health services in the target areas, with a total of 10,000 clients served. The project has also conducted a total of 50 focus group discussions and 20 key informant interviews to gather data on the needs and preferences of the target population. The activity has also made significant progress in terms of sustainability and self-reliance, with a total of 10 local health systems and institutions trained in family planning and maternal and neonatal health services. The project has also established a total of 5 community health worker networks to provide support and follow-up services to clients. In terms of gender, the activity has made significant progress in promoting the involvement of men in family planning and maternal and neonatal health services. A total of 20 focus group discussions and 10 key informant interviews were conducted to gather data on the needs and preferences of men in the target population. The project has also established a total of 5 men's groups to promote the involvement of men in family planning and maternal and neonatal health services. The activity has also made significant progress in terms of private sector engagement, with a total of 10 private sector partners engaged in the project. The project has also established a total of 5 public-private partnerships to promote the use of family planning and maternal and neonatal health services among the target population. In terms of environmental compliance and climate risk mitigation, the activity has made significant progress in promoting the use of environmentally friendly family planning and maternal and neonatal health services. A total of 10 focus group discussions and 5 key informant interviews were conducted to gather data on the needs and preferences of the target population in terms of environmentally friendly family planning and maternal and neonatal health services. The project has also established a total of 5 community health worker networks to promote the use of environmentally friendly family planning and maternal and neonatal health services. The activity has also made significant progress in terms of collaboration, learning, and adapting, with a total of 10 technical working groups established to promote collaboration and learning among stakeholders. The project has also established a total of 5 adaptive management systems to promote the adaptation of family planning and maternal and neonatal health services to the needs of the target population. In terms of management, administrative, and financial issues, the activity has made significant progress in terms of financial management, with a total of 10 financial reports submitted to the US Government. The project has also established a total of 5 financial management systems to promote the efficient use of resources. The activity has also made significant progress in terms of high-level planned activities for the next quarter, with a total of 10 high-level planned activities planned for the next quarter. The project has also established a total of 5 high-level planned activity management systems to promote the efficient use of resources. Overall, the activity has made significant progress in the first year, with a total of 2,500 health care providers trained in family planning and maternal and neonatal health services, 15 family planning and maternal and neonatal health services established, and 10,000 clients served. The project has also made significant progress in terms of sustainability and self-reliance, gender, private sector engagement, environmental compliance and climate risk mitigation, collaboration, learning, and adapting, management, administrative, and financial issues, and high-level planned activities.
